Blog # 7: Reflection on Final Presentation
The final project was a very enlightening experience. It was interesting to see everyone's progression through this course. I feel that this course affected each student in a positive way. It seemed like it sharpened everyone's perspective on things. It definitely did that for me. I have trouble speaking in front of the class but I feel this final presentation helped me get closer to overcoming my problems with speaking in public. I liked the fact that we were paired with people that we didn't really know well. It gave us an opportunity to know our classmates better. I hope all of my classes in the future are as fulfilling as this class was. I enjoyed it very much and I learned a lot about myself.

Blog # 6: Reflection on "Success isn't only for Extroverts"
I was looking through the course documents on blackboard and noticed that I haven't yet reflected on this article. I enjoyed this article because it shows that when a person knows themselves better their output at work or in life changes for the better. The author of the article talks about working better when the office is almost empty or not being able to respond to certain question until after. One might think she has social problems or might suffer from some type of anxiety. Through the Myers-Briggs type indicator, she found out that her type requires different means to be able to participate in the workplace better. I thought it was very interesting how the Myers-Briggs type indicator can help people understand themselves better. It certainly helped me understand myself better.
Blog # 5: Reflection on Steve Job's speech.
Watching this video was very inspirational. Honestly, I didn't quite know who Steve Jobs was or what he was famous for until I saw the video in class. His speech was broken down into three parts where he explains important points in his life. I was amazed on how much adversity this man had to endure before he became truly successful. His life was full of let downs and discouraging times. Despite all these inconsistencies, he continued to follow his heart. Battling through cancer and getting fired from the company he started should have been discouraging enough but he never gave up on his dreams of success. I think this speech can help many students feel more confident in their future and give them hope even when faced with adversity. It definitely helped me see things in a more optimistic point of view.

Blog 4 :Great Tips for Job Interviews
I've been on hundreds of interviews for many different types of jobs. I can honestly say that the process requires some preparation. I've researched a few websites and found some helpful hints. One website recommended that a person should research the company they are interviewing for. Another states the obvious which is to dress in proper business attire. It is recommended to wear dark colors so you can convey a conservative image to the employer.
One should also be prepared to answer questions like: "Why should I hire you?" "Why do you want this job?" "What are your strengths and weaknesses?"Punctuality is very important. It is vital to be able to give a good impression at every angle to the interviewer. From experience, I can honestly agree with all these tips. I can also add that confidence is also very important. One must show that they are right for the job without a shred of a doubt. all these tips can be found on the following websites: http://www.employmentguide.com/careeradvice/Interview_Tips.html,http://www.bls.gov/oco/oco20045.htm, and http://jobsearch.about.com/cs/interviews/a/jobinterviewtip.htm

Blog 3: For Profit Colleges
I found the video about for-profit colleges very informative. The video exposed a side of colleges I never knew existed. I have many friends that have gone to these for-profit colleges and are suffering the same problems that were pointed out in thevideo such as debt problems and difficulties attaining employment. Some of the cases are sad because some of these people saw this as an opportunity to relieve themselves of financial troubles. Instead, they find themselves deep in a much bigger debt. At the same time, it's the person's responsibility to find out if the college they're about to enroll in is accredited. It would be irresponsible if a person wouldn't check the value of the certification given by the establishment. I believe that if people do their research on their college, this problem wouldn't occur.

Blog 2: Job Descriptions for Resume
In terms of writing a resume, the way you express your job descriptions can be vital in getting a job. I researched some tips in writing a better resume including a more concise job description. According to this website, I learned that one should create a resume that suits the job in which one is applying for. It is important to be concise and direct with the job description. If one is submitting a resume to a corporation, it is important to realize that they submit resumes into their data bases and look for the most key word "hits". most of these keywords are nouns. It is better to start one's sentences with verbs and to omit pronouns and articles. I found this page to be very informative and I will definitely apply this information to my own resume. This page can be reached here http://jobsearch.about.com/od/resumes/a/draftdesc.htm

Blog 1 : Personality Test Reflection
After taking this personality test, I was quite surprised on how accurate the test evaluated my personality. Of course it wasn't completely accurate but generally it was on point. The test revealed that I am an ENTJ. This class includes famous people like Napoleon, Franklin D. Roosevelt , Richard Nixon, Jim Carrey etc. I'm not particularly thrilled about being in the same class as these people but I find it interesting. It's amazing how a simple test can tell you things about yourself. I admit at first I was pretty skeptical about the test because it reminded me of tests that I've taken when I applied for certain jobs.
In terms of the occupational recommendations for ENTJ's, I was intrigued by what careers were mentioned. According to the career indicator, ENTJ's can make good lawyers, politicians, and managers. It makers sense being that the ENTJ's have very dominant leadership qualities. I really enjoyed taking the test because I learned a little more about myself.
